Themes  
Vengeance- basically the character of Kaz is based upon vengeance. He just wants a chance to punish the person who ruined his past and his life. And even if it means going on the wrong path, he won’t even hesitate because the damage that that person did was unforgivable as some wounds never heal.
Trauma- almost every character has their own different traumas and that is what makes this book beautiful in its own way. As if it is conveying that every person is different and it is okay to be hurt by something which won’t be a big deal for everyone else.
Alliances- the heist involved making enemies and alliances both. It showed how important it is to choose wisely between the both.
Addiction- the concept of addiction and how it can consume us is highlighted in the book. Not only that, it shows how much people sacrifice to get over their addiction for the sake of their loved ones and often for themselves too.
Monsters and humans- the characters are often referred by different monstrous names which defines them
Power- something which everyone craves but only few admit to it.
Characters 
This book has the most different and applause deserving characters with astonishing abilities.
Kaz Brekker- a thief who knows how to escape from anywhere and also can pick any lock. He is commonly known as the Bastard of the barrel.
Inej Ghafa- a spy with the strongest faith in God. She can walk right beside you for miles and you wouldn’t even notice.
Jesper Fahey- one of the best sharpshooters of ketterdam and a member of the crow club. His addiction of gambling ended up in Ketterdam. He is known for his flirting.
Wylan Van Eck- a son of the richest businessman but his inability to read and write ended up with him being kicked out of his father’s fortune. He is an expert in the explosive department.
Matthias Helvar- a man of morals and a soldier kicked out of his own country and made a prisoner. His strength is unbeatable.
Nina Zenik- a heartrender (someone who can increase or decrease your heartbeat). She is the most confident and body positive girl of the whole book and is quite inspiring too for the readers.

Leigh Bardugo is an author who is most loved by fantasy readers. Not only did she create the most beautiful fantasy world i.e. the Grishaverse but also gave the readers a story worth re-reading and characters worth missing. Truly she is a queen of the fantasy genre. Her ‘Shadow and bone’ series has been adapted into a show too and the characters and plot of Six of crows will be introduced in the next season of it.
Conclusion 
 A total masterpiece with jaw dropping twists and the most lovable characters with a pinch of magic, a lot of bravery and courage and intelligently calculated characters and plot. It definitely will remain in your brain even after months of reading it. You would have just sympathy and love for the characters and gratitude for the author for writing such an amazing book.
