Self-Love: Circe is often left alone and abandoned, but she has proved to us that you are never truly alone when you are with yourself. This is because having oneself to love is a great gift in itself.
Relationships with other people: Circe is stranded in an Island and whenever she meets people, they end up leaving her. Her story is testament to the idea of letting people go when they have to. Her character shows a very real depiction of the truth of relationships and love. No one can stay in the same place forever is what she tries to tell.

The central character of this book is Circe – the powerful woman. She is a great idol for women out there, her resilience and courage will stand out to any reader and guide them through their course of life too.
Best Lines 
These letters are filled with beautiful prose detailing the life of Little Dog. Some of my favorites are:

“So many years I had spent as a child sifting his bright features for his thoughts, trying to glimpse among them one that bore my name. But he was a harp with only one string, and the note it played was himself.

Madeline Miller is a powerhouse of a writer. She spent ten years writing her critically acclaimed novel, The Song of Achilles. Circe is yet another product of this author’s brilliant, brilliant mind that conceives and retells ancient Greek mythologies. Her writing is usually very fluid and freeing to the mind as we read. I personally love the snippets of beautiful prose she slips into conversations and descriptions.

Circe is a book that makes you think. It’s a book that creates conversations and dialogues. This is because it represents strong women, it is a story of a women and her growth. If you’d like to read a heart wrenching tale of growth and love, Circe is a must!
